Kim Forsman has been secretary at St. Michael's since May of 2000. Prior to that she worked for nine years with Dremel in various customer service positions, ending up in the tool repair department working with the technicians and customers. Kim received her degree in Business Management from Milwaukee Area Technical College in May of 2000. She has been married to Dave since August of 1999 and they have two children. When she has a spare minute, Kim enjoys Stamping, hanging out with the family, watching one movie per week, and telling her husband what to plant in the garden.

The Rev’d Terry D. McGugan has been rector at St. Michael’s Church since 1997. He earned his M.Div. degree from The General Theological Seminary in New York, and B.A. from Emory University. Prior to coming to Racine, Father Terry served several parishes in the Diocese of Atlanta, in his native Georgia. During his tenure as rector, St. Michael’s has experienced significant growth in the areas of evangelism and the development of lay leadership. Terry is deeply committed to the Alpha program and has seen God use it to grow the size of the congregation under his care. When not writing sermons or prepping Alpha talks, Terry is doing all sorts of dad duties for his two children: throwing laundry into the dryer and taking forgotten lunches to school.  Whatever free time he has is consumed with his boat. Terry has a deep passion for sailing, which is convenient given that St. Michael’s hugs the coast of Lake Michigan. Church members are occasionally invited for rides, although we are still trying to work out what connection, if any, that has with sudden changes in patterns of stewardship.

Bernadette Poetker has been Parish Administrator at St. Michael’s since March of 2007. She has five children, three grandchildren, a dog named Annie, and two cats – Ed and Scooby. She has been a member of St. Michael’s for about 25 years and has served in almost every capacity. Bernadette has been both Junior and Senior Warden, involved with St. Pat’s Meal Program, Discipleship Ministry Head, and Eucharistic Minister.  She has participated in Alpha and Tuesday Night ministry, Stephen Ministry, jail ministry, greeting ministry, Bible study and ‘Discovering your Spiritual Gifts.’ She holds her undergraduate degree in economics and an MBA. Prior to joining the St. Michael’s staff teams, Bernadette worked for Johnson Bank as a vice president.  She has a real estate brokers license and is a Notary Public. Whatever free time she has is spent going to athletic events: soccer games, basketball games, or whatever other sport the kids decide to get involved in.  She is involved with Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), where she is also the treasurer. She is a native Chicagoan and grew up in Highland Park, Illinois.

The not reverend at all Michael R. Prudhom has been the lay Youth Director at St. Michael’s since October 1995.  He received the Master of Arts in Christian Education from North Park Theological Seminary, B.S. Management and Communication from Concordia University Wisconsin (summa cum laude), and A.A.S. Computer Engineering Technology from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.  Mike works as a help desk manager for a major insurance company.  When he is not working or hanging with teens, Mike rides his custom-built touring bicycle. Mike is married to Debbi, the father of three adult children, and the grandfather of two.

The Rev’d Scott Allen Seefeldt, ObJN is Assistant Rector at St. Michael’s since the summer of 2007.  He received the M.Div. degree from Nashotah House Theological Seminary, cum laude, and B.Mus. from the University of Wis
consin – Madison. Prior to seminary, Father Scott worked with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in the Milwaukee area, an inter-denominational college ministry. He is a life-long Wisconsin resident where he is a serious recreational road cyclist when the weather is warm, and a well-below-average snowboarder when the weather is cold. Scott writes occasionally for The Living Church magazine, serves on a commission for Christian education in the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee, and is an Oblate in the Order of Julian of Norwich. Scott is married to Stephanie Seefeldt - an organist, worship leader for various ministries, and songwriter. They enjoy their time teaching math and Latin to their three children, planning for #4, coming in September, and playing with their “fru-fru” dog named Kemper.
