Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the season of Lent and sets the tone for our journey to Holy Week. Although we confess our sins every Sunday, Ash Wednesday and Lent is a time to be intentional about what’s holding us back from being all that God’s called us to be. Receiving the imposition of ashes reminds us that without God’s love and mercy, we are but dust and ashes.
